Instructions
  • Difficulty Level: 3
  • Time to complete: 60-90 minutes
Please follow these safety guidelines :
  • Always follow proper safety procedures to avoid personal injury while performing vehicle maintenance.
  • Perform this installation only when your car is off and the engine is cold. Never handle or inspect antifreeze/coolant on a hot engine.
  • Always wear safety glasses and gloves to avoid direct contact with any antifreeze / coolant.
  • Always check your owner's manual for any special cooling system instructions.
  • And always follow local laws and regulations for proper disposal of used antifreeze / coolant.
  • Never drain used antifreeze/coolant into storm sewers, septic systems, or on to the ground.
To complete this installation you'll need :
  • Mobile Coolz…® Concenterate Coolant
  • Mobile Coolz…® Concenterate Coolant
  • Mobile Coolz… SPT Flush
  • Garden Hose
  • Funnel
  • 2 Bucket
  • Clean, Dry Cloth or Rag
  • 1. Locate the vehicle's antifreeze reservoir tank and remove the cap.
  • 2. Remove the radiator cap from the radiator filler neck. NEVER remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot.
  • 3. Locate the radiator drain plug underneath the radiator and place a large bucket beneath it. If the vehicle doesn't have a drain valve, or if it's difficult to remove, consult the service manual for further instructions.Open the radiator drain plug and drain the old antifreeze/coolant to remove any loose rust and sediment from the system. Be careful not to make contact with the antifreeze. If this happens, rinse with soap and water immediately. Once it's empty, close the drain valve.
  • 4. Put the used antifreeze/coolant into sealed containers and clearly label them as "used antifreeze." To avoid any accidents, never use old beverage containers or other common house hold items.Dispose of the used antifreeze/coolant properly. Special reclamation centers are setup in many areas for collection, so be sure to check your local laws and regulations for proper disposal. In the meantime, store the containers in a secure location away from any children or pets.
  • 5. Inspect the condition of the cooling system hoses. If any hoses appear brittle or cracked, they should be replaced.
  • 6. Before refilling with new antifreeze, the cooling system must be flushed to clean the engine. The Lubz® team recommends using a cooling system flush like Mobile Coolz…® SPT Flush to remove any stubborn rust, grease and sediment that plain water cannot.
  • 7. Fill the radiator with Mobile Coolz® SPT Flush. If the vehicle does not have a radiator filler neck, add the SPT Flush directly into the reservoir tank. Add clean water to the radiator and then to the antifreeze reservoir tank until the level reaches the "full cold" mark on the tank. Replace the radiator and reservoir caps.
  • 8. Run the engine with the heater on high until the temperature gauge reads normal operating temperature. Stop the engine and allow it to cool completely.
  • 9. After the engine has cooled, remove the radiator and reservoir caps and drain the entire cooling system again. When completed, close the drain plug and fill the system with just plain water. Replace the radiator and reservoir caps and run the engine for fifteen minutes.Shutoff the engine and allow it to cool.Re-drain the engine again and then close the drain valve.Check the owner's manual for the capacity of the vehicle's cooling system before refilling with new antifreeze
  • 10. Add 100% Mobile Coolz® Coolant Concentrate equal to half of the cooling system's capacity. The goal is to have a 50% Coolant, 50% water combination.
  • 11. Top off the system with water until the mixture reach the "full cold" line on the overflow reservoir tank and then replace the cap.
  • 12. Run the engine with the heater on high to fully disperse the new antifreeze throughout the entire cooling system until it reaches normal operating temperature. Shut off the engine and allow it to cool completely.
  • 13. Check the antifreeze/coolant level at the coolant reservoir tank. The level should reach the "full cold" line. Top-off the system with Mobile Coolz…® Ready to Use mixture as necessary. Check for any spills or leaks and clean these up immediately. Some vehicles may require the cooling system to be bled to remove any excess air that entered into the engine during draining. So refer to the vehicles service manual to see if this step is necessary and follow the specified instructions.
  • 14. After a few days of driving, check the antifreeze/coolant level again and top it off with the antifreeze/coolant mixture as needed.
  • 15. The Lubz team recommends flushing and filling your cooling system every 5 years or 150,000 miles to maintain maximum engine protection.Once the system has been drained, flushed and filled, record the vehicle's current information into your maintenance Records.

Some coolants DONOT have the extra Special Rust Preventive Pigment which forms a coat (like Paint) over the inner part of the engine. The metal parts where the coolant comes in contact starts rusting when not in contact with the coolant. So Rusting, Scaling & sludge formation takes place in your engine, blocking the coolants path thus overheating the engine & reducing the performance of the vehicle.

Yes, our coolants are chemically compatible, however you will lose the long life protection of the extended life of our high quality products. But never mix & use the green & the Blue Non-Amine Coolants.

We recommend that you use between 50% and 70% concentration of antifreeze. Atleast 50% is necessary to give the adequate amount of corrosion protection. However, we do not recommend more than 70% of antifreeze. This would cause restriction of the heat transfer capabilities, corrosion protection and freeze protection.

If the product is still in the Original sealed container then it has a shelf life of many years. If the product has been opened and has not been diluted with water then it also has a shelf life of many years.

In some automobiles where coolants are not used for long duration of time there is rust formation in the cooling systems. When coolants are used they start removing the rust accumulated over the period of time which has no where to escape, so it starts floating & circulating in the cooling system and blocks small passages in the system. Thus causing the car to overheat. So it is recommended that whenever you drain the radiator without fail flush the cooling system with a good quality radiator flush & then continue with a fresh fill of Genuine Quality Mobile Coolz Coolants.

SPT Radiator Anti-Rust contains an inhibitor package that coats and helps protect key cooling system metals from corrosion. This product can be added to antifreeze/coolants between changes to boost the depleted corrosion protection of these fluids. When used according to package directions, this specially formulated product will not cause over-addition problems such as reduced heat transfer or inhibitor precipitation that can be detrimental to the antifreeze in the system.

Mobile Coolz… Coolants have a special Rust Preventive Pigment, which forms a coat (like Paint) over the inner part of the engine which are always exposed to the coolant. These parts are most vulnerable to rusting, scaling & sludge formation. This green pigment forms a coat over the unprotected surface as if the surface was painted from within and prevents the surface from rusting. This is a special formulation adopted and developed for regions having Tropical Climate like India. These places require more of Rust Prevention and very little Anti freeze protection.

In some automobiles where other coolants / Anti - Freeze or Radiator Flushes and Hard water, have been used, the remaining solvents or chemical left overs in the cylinder jackets and the solid sludges and scales on the wall of the radiator and the engine compartment start Neutralising the strength of the additives and the pigments resulting to the coolant becoming pale or lighter in color. We recommend you to use the same brand of coolant after this occurs, to assure this doen't happen again. Preferably we advice you to use Ready - Mix coolants (premix with water), If your water source is contaminated or is hard water.

Some Indian automobile manufacturers request that a phosphate-free antifreeze be used in their vehicles. This issue is related to the extremely high mineral content of the water in India. If you were to mix antifreeze that contained phosphates with the type of water we have in India, it may produce deposits that can settle in the cooling system and promote corrosion. However, in some parts of India we do not have this type of water problem. Typical Indian coolants have contained phosphates (which is part of the corrosion inhibitor package) for many years. Lubz Antifreeze/Coolant is completely safe for use in both foreign and domestic vehicles. For those consumers who would feel more comfortable using a phosphate-free antifreeze, our Mobile Coolz Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant is phosphate, silicate, and borate free. This coolant uses a special chemistry and technology that extends the life of the corrosion inhibitor package so that it lasts for five years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first), and is safe for all cars and light trucks (old or new). Mobile Coolz Extended LifeAntifreeze/Coolant exceeds specifications approved by General Motors under their DEX-COOL® Anti freeze and is compatible with other DEX-COOL® approved coolants.

Both SCA and Extender are used to supplement engine coolants to provide a fully formulated heavy duty (HD) coolant. However, SCA's and Extenders are as different as conventional silicate HD coolant is to Extended Life HD coolants. SCA chemistry is typically based on a combination of nitrite and inorganic corrosion inhibitors, while Extenders are typically based on nitrite and organic corrosion inhibitors. The use of SCA's in Extended Life coolants or Extenders in silicate formulations will negate the benefits of the additive and could jeopardize the cooling systems life.

Topping off with conventional silicate antifreeze/coolant in a system protected with Extended Life antifreeze/coolant is not recommended. Topping off with a small amount (less than 15% of total cooling system capacity) of conventional antifreeze/coolant will not upset the ability of the Extended Life antifreeze/coolant to protect the cooling system. Continued topping off with conventional silicate coolant will over time dilute the Extended Life antifreeze/coolant enough for it to become a silicate formulation. Heavy Duty cooling systems should be routinely checked for antifreeze/coolant leaks at regular service intervals. Any worn or leaking components should be repaired or replaced.

Using a chemical flush prior to the fresh fill of antifreeze/coolant is an effective way to remove deposits from the cooling system. Lubz® offers several flushes that are designed for everything from routine maintenance to lime or rust scale. All of these cleaners are compatible with the cooling system components of any vehicle. We recommend the following: Use Lubz® SPT Flush for routine maintenance. Use Mobile Coolz ® Super Radiator Cleaner to remove corrosion and lime scale. If the directions on each of these cleaners are followed correctly, the end result will be an empty radiator and mostly water in the engine block and heater core. At this point, use a mix Mobile Coolz® Antifreeze/Coolant and water. This is easily accomplished if you know the capacity of the cooling system. Example: If the owners manual of your vehicle indicates that the capacity of the cooling system is 6 Liters, then you need to install 3 Liters of pure antifreeze. Note: Once the desired amount of concentrated antifreeze/coolant has been installed, the cooling system must be topped off with water to ensure a complete fill. Then backflushing the cooling system. This backflush will remove more deposits than the chemical cleaner alone. If you are able to access the inlet heater hose on your vehicle, we recommend that you use one of the cleaners and then backflush the system.

Caution:

Wash the stain marks with water thoroughly & consult your doctor if coolant has been swallowed or has entered in your eyes.

Mobile Coolz:

Coolants have a special Rust Preventive Pigment, which forms a coat (like Paint) over the inner part of the engine which are always exposed to the coolant and are most vulnerable to rust formation.
